I have no time to be well..!

No matter how hectic your schedule might become, you’ve always got the time to do a micromovement or two during the day to promote balanced living.

Micromovements are very tiny goals that will only take you a minute or two to complete. Over time, though, they are the stuff that successful Wellness Plans are made of. That’s because micromovements direct your focus on actually being well instead of just wishing you could be well.

What’s a micromovement look like? It could be a minute or two of stretching during your break at work; perhaps reading a short poem or inspirational quote when your mind is swimming with loneliness or doubt; or making time for a two-minute stillness practice in which you sit quietly in one place, clearing your mind of any extraneous thoughts as much as humanly possible.

A micromovement is literally anything that sends yourself the message, “I am practicing self-care right now and nothing else.” That’s it! No complicated or long and drawn out to-do lists are necessary. The best part about micromovements is they keep your forward momentum going. It’s easy to get stuck in the rut of thinking that you should be doing more instead of just doing what’s right now.

You can do it. You are doing it!

Be well,
